Established in 1929, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics is one of the country's most respected technical schools. PIA is well-known among the industries it serves, because the Institute strives to provide students with superior, "hands-on" education in the areas of Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Electronics, Electronic Systems, and Mechanical Systems.
PIA offers accredited Associate in Specialized Technology degrees. PIA graduates are also eligible for FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification examinations. Student services are available such as, Financial Aid (for those who qualify) and ongoing Placement Assistance. Degree programs range in length from 18 to 21 months, with new classes starting year-round.
